BMX Hubs

When buying BMX hubs you will need to know what type or brand you have such as Flybikes, if you want the same kind. You may or may not need to know other features such as hub drilling, front axle type (i.e, 3/8"), hub and brake compatibility such as rim brake and the front hub spacing, such as 100mm or 120mm.

If you are thinking about changing your gearing, like 44-16t to 36-13t freewheel, that is not usually a problem and you can still use pretty much any kind of hub. Some will like to get a new flip-flop hub, but it is not necessary. A flip-flop hub, or threaded double-sided hub, are for the rear allowing a freewheel or fixed cog to be installed on both sides.
