BMX Handlebars
Determining proper size and width of BMX handlebars is one of the most overlooked factors when fitting someone to a BMX bike. This is especially true of bigger and taller people. Most bikes come with smaller and narrower handlebars which are more suited for smaller, shorter people from 5'6 to 5'10" and will feel uncomfortable to those who are taller than 5'10". For those who are taller, you probably will want to try a pair of handlebars that are taller, somewhere in the range of eight inches or so and wider which will make you feel more stable and in control. There are shorter people, however, who also like wider and taller handlebars for the same reasons of stability and control. Riding style will play some part in your choice of handlebar size. It is easier to do some tricks, especially spinning, with smaller and narrower handlebars.
